A pixel-art game about investing
Walk into the building where the Philippine stock market lives
Walk the halls, learn how investing works, practise trading with training tektites and make a home of your own. Play with your barkada, in English or Filipino.
A prototype. No real money moves, and nothing here is investment advice.
1FMain Hall · Grounds · Avenue
Explore the building
A whole building to walk around, and a country outside its doors.
Tektite has a Main Hall on three floors, East and West concourses and sector halls, a Mall, two residential towers and a chapel. Walk out through the glass doors to the grounds and Tektite Avenue, then ride to seven towns around the Philippines, and Singapore overseas.
- Press M for the building map, with step-by-step directions to anywhere.
- The same map shows Metro Manila, city by city, with the Tektite tower in Bonifacio Global City.
- Walk with the arrow keys or an on-screen D-pad. One button talks, reads and confirms.
- Rides from the terminal are free, and your first visit to each town earns a few tektites.
Good day! These are the Tektite grounds.
3FMain Hall · Library
Learn
Short lessons on the basics, in plain words.
The Library has six short lessons, from What is a stock?
to Risk and diversification
, each with a
three-question quiz. Pass one and you earn tektites. The shelves also hold a profile of every company listed in the
game, all of them fictional.
- Spot the Scam on the 1F waiting-room TV: five new cards every day, to learn the signs of a scam.
- On 2F, three experts explain how they read charts, judge a business and watch the mood of the market.
- Weekly missions are about learning, spotting scams and being social. Never about trading.
Welcome to the Library. Short lessons on investing, each with a quick quiz.
3FMain Hall · Training Bourse
Practise
Make your first trades with training tektites, not money.
Trade 12 fictional companies on simulated prices with 100,000 training tektites. The rules are the Philippine Stock Exchange's own: board lots, price ticks, commissions and fees, and the 0.1% sales tax when you sell.
- Market orders fill at the price when you post them. Limit orders wait for your price until the end of the day.
- Or fill in an order slip at the East or West Hall board and hand it to the floor trader.
- Your portfolio shows what you hold, what it cost and how it is doing. Start over whenever you like.
This is the Training Bourse. Practise with training tektites; no real money.
1FMain Hall · Partner bank
Invest in a sandbox
See every step of investing for real, without real money.
Tektite walks you through how it would work, end to end: sign in with a code sent to your e-mail, check your identity, choose an index fund, then make a deposit at the partner bank and receive tektites when it arrives. In this prototype the bank, the identity check and the fund are all sandboxes, so no real money moves.
- You choose where your deposits go, and Tektite recommends neither fund.
- Every peso and tektite movement is written to a ledger that you can check on your own device.
- Tektites arrive when a deposit reaches its fund. They never turn back into pesos.
- On 2F, the PSE Trading Room and the US Top 20 Room let you buy and sell stand-in stocks with those tektites.
- Next door, the Chaos Pit is a short game on an old exchange floor: run your slips to the clerk before the price moves. It is a game of luck as much as skill.
Your pesos stay with the partners. Tektite never holds your money.
TWRTowers · the Mall
Make it yours
A home of your own, furnished your way.
Every newcomer has a dorm room in the East Tower. Pick a bed, a sofa, a rug, plants, a TV or a computer from the Mall shops, and put each piece where you like. After your first deposit you can buy a studio, and at a higher rank a bigger unit in the West Tower.
- Earn tektites by registering, passing quizzes, practising, spotting scams and visiting towns.
- Friends can visit your unit and leave kudos.
- Tektites are in-game points. They never turn into pesos and can't be sent to another player.
Furniture for your unit, paid in tektites.

Play together
Bring your barkada.
Every area is shared, so you see other players walk around, sit down and wave. Take a number at registration, chat in the waiting area, the cafeteria and outdoors, and send emotes. Add friends with a code, start a barkada with a weekly learning goal, and pick up new missions every Monday.
- Chat is moderated: links, phone numbers and
guaranteed returns
messages are refused, and anyone can be reported or muted. - Friends see your name, outfit and home. Never your money.
- A barkada learns together. Nobody pools money or tektites.
Grab a seat and chat with other investors.

What Tektite is, and what it isn't
It is
- A game about investing in the Philippines: walk around, learn the basics and practise.
- A place to try trading on fictional companies and simulated prices, with training tektites.
- A prototype you can play in a browser, on a phone or a computer, in English or Filipino.
- A way to earn tektites, in-game points for taking part, which you spend on homes and furniture.
It isn't
- Investment advice. Nothing in Tektite tells you what to buy or sell.
- A way to make money. Tektites are in-game points: they never turn into pesos or anything else with cash value.
- Live with real money. The bank, identity and fund partners are sandboxes, and no real money moves.
- A real market. The Training Bourse's companies and prices are made up.
